The printer is a little over a year old and as mentioned has had very light use. The diagnosis confirms that the ink levels are all OK and that my printer uses HP authentic and than Normal inks or better quality is selected. I ran HP print and Scan diagnostics and do the message "Everything out OK with your product." I then print a test page which "fails", that there is no black ink in use. I have to 'reset' the printer (power cable removed for 20 seconds), I cleaned the print heads and tried to re-alignment of the printer. I use a HP Pavilion Desktop PC (Vista Home Premium) connected to the printer via a USB cable. I've never used anything other than HP cartridges, and I believe that I have would be considered a very light printer user. All cartridges are brand new and are genuine HP cartridges. I have problems with my HP Photosmart 5510 all-in-One printer, because it will not print in black. There is still one thing, we can try, which requires a certain type of reset of the printer, but I will have private message you the steps to do this. Especially if you have experienced already troubleshooting guides. If not, there is probably a more serious hardware with the printer problem. If the product does not light by itself, press the power button to turn it on. reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.ħ. plug the power cord into the wall jack.Ħ. disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.ĥ. with the product, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.ģ. press the power button to turn on the product.Ģ. I did see where some say it is easy to miss a step or some ink build up, etc. However, I think the steps are pretty similar to the first link.
